Love Addiction Assessment

Wondering if you might be struggling with love addiction?

Love addiction is a collection of symptoms that occur due to developmental (attachment) trauma.

Ask yourself the following questions, which are common indicators of love addiction and addictive relationships.

☐ Do you believe that you must be in a relationship in order to be valuable or worthy?

☐ Have you ever stayed in a relationship too long, even though you knew it was dysfunctional?

Do you stay in dysfunctional relationships because you believe you can change your partner?

☐ Do you continually find yourself in the same type of unhealthy relationship, or dating the same type of emotionally unavailable person, again and again?

Do you struggle to see the reality of partners, instead focusing on the ‘idea’ of them (aka who you want them to be)?

☐ Do you have a pattern of feeling emotionally dependent upon a romantic interest, needing validation from them in order to feel 'ok' about yourself?

☐ Do you feel anxious when you're away from your partner or find yourself obsessively thinking about them?

Do you find yourself behaving differently with your partner than you do with family and friends (in other words, do you hide your authentic self from your partner)?

☐ Do you feel the need to be 'perfect' in order to be loved by your partner (or anyone)?

☐ Do you sacrifice time for self-care or plans with friends in order to be with your partner?

☐ Have you noticed an increase in your consumption of alcohol (or other addictive substances) and/or a change in eating habits?

Do you struggle with disordered eating, spending or sleeping patterns while in a relationship?

☐ Do you find yourself continually feeling insecure or 'not good enough' while in a romantic relationship?

If you’ve answered yes to any of the above questions, you may be experiencing the symptoms of love addiction and addictive relationships.

If you’re ready to address the symptoms, behavior and inherited beliefs that come with love addiction, my ULA program was designed for you.
